Who we are

Our mission is to deliver job and income growth in the markets we serve. The way we do that is by facilitating capital access for small businesses - a $250 billion gap in the Middle East alone.

153 loans

The figures above do not include campaigns that have been canceled or have expired. They may be adjusted downwards if a campaign is canceled or expires.

How we work

We provide the opportunity for savers to lend to profitable and stable small businesses. The goal is to build more substantial opportunity for people in the MENA region and beyond.

Small Businesses

A small or medium-sized business submits a loan application through this website.

Credit Assessment

We conduct an in-house review of the small business's creditability. Based on that assessment a campaign is approved or denied within 48 hours.

Investors

Once campaigns are posted to the site investors have the opportunity to review them before making a decision to invest.

Repayments & Returns

Small business borrowers make monthly payments to investors. Those funds are available for withdrawal at any time.

My name is Yaser, and I own and operate an office supplies store in the Abdali area of Amman, Jordan. I have been running the business since 2001 along with my brother and with the assistance of 3 other colleagues. My client base has been consistently growing since my store is located in a busy commercial area where many offices are located. Our sales have expanded to include tenders from some governmental institutions and organizations. The business’s average sales growth rate over the last 5 years has reached around 6%. This will be my fourth loan from liwwa and it will be used to facilitate the purchase of office paper in bulk from abroad to meet local demand and increase sales.
